Research and Development Associate

CHIld Nurture And Relief (CHINAR) is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented go-getter to join our team. Reporting to Board of Directors, the “Research and Development Associate” will implement and manage many day-to-day operations of the organization’s fundraising and stewardship programs.

Other duties include:
  • Researching funding sources and development programs.
  • Follow-up with existing donors (individual and grants).
  • Writing grants, reports, correspondence, emails and other content.
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns and other special events.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for CHINAR’s work and vision.
  • Ability to multitask and finish multiple projects on time and often under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and experience in systems creation.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in and knowledge of grant procurement practices and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of personalities and situations.
  • Strong computer and database skills, and experience managing development databases.
  • BA or equivalent, and 3-4 years of relevant development experience required, preferably in fields related to CHINAR’s mission.

Compensation: Salary and benefits competitive and commensurate with experience.

Working hours: Flexible, plus work from home option.

Location: USA. Preferably in Washington DC area.
